Middle School English/Language Arts

My family

Hello! My name is Erin Roiger. This school year marks my 18th year at GHEC. I teach middle school Language Arts and I’m GHEC’s Activities Director. I attended college at Winona State University and received my Bachelor of Science degree in teaching.  Most recently, I graduated with my Masters in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership through Southwest State University, Marshall. I am originally from Fairmont, MN, and I moved to the Winnebago area after I married my husband, David. David works for Meyer Plumbing and Heating. We have one daughter, Kyla who is a junior this year.  We also have a very spoiled dog, Betty, who enjoys going for walks, chasing leaves, and begging for treats. We enjoy camping, spending time at the lake, and being with family and friends.

In Language Arts, we will be using the PEARSON curriculum and the EB Writing program. My goal is to provide a rich, engaging, and thought-provoking experience to help my students become a better reader, writer, listener, speaker, critical thinker, and member of society.
