WELCOME
Welcome to my page! My name is Alec Saxon, and this is my first year as a full time teacher. I am originally from Dell Rapids, South Dakota where almost every one of my family members is involved in education. In fact, you could probably say that teaching is in my blood! I graduated from Augustana University in 2023 with a major in history and secondary education.
In my free time I enjoy multiple different hobbies as I love both the indoors and outdoors. Outdoors I enjoy fishing and kayaking as well as a good old-fashioned camping trip! Indoors I love to read, play video games and sing. In truth, I was part of the Augustana choir all four years of my college career.
I am incredibly excited to begin this school year, and I hope you and your students are as well. All too often history is seen as separate from modern day, but the truth is that the actions of the past still affect us today. It is my goal in my classroom to give students the ability to learn about the connection of past and present with hands-on activities that challenge not only their knowledge but also their creativity.
